Squarespace
The Launch.
A professional Squarespace site for small businesses that are ready to show up properly.
Investment
$5,500
Fixed price. Fixed scope. No surprises. Everything listed here, nothing that isn't. Add The Mark for $1,500 USD if you need the brand built first.
Not every business needs a $10,000 website. Some businesses need something smaller, built by someone who takes the work seriously regardless of the budget. That's what this is.
Squarespace is the right platform for The Launch: fast to build on, easy to maintain after handoff, and capable of excellent design in the right hands. What separates this from a template build isn't the platform, but every decision made within it. It's the thinking behind every decision — the architecture before the aesthetics, the content before the colours — and the custom code layer that extends what the platform offers out of the box.
This engagement has a fixed scope and timeline: four weeks from kickoff to launch. You arrive with your content and your brand assets. If what you have doesn't map cleanly to what the site needs to say, we work that out in Discovery before anything is built. You leave with a site you're proud to send people to, and the knowledge to manage it yourself.
Custom Code — Included as Standard
Every Launch engagement includes custom CSS and JavaScript additions. Animations, layout details, and interactions that Squarespace's native tools can't produce are handled in code by the same person who designed the site. This is not a typical Squarespace build.
- — Discovery call & content audit — what you have, what the site actually needs
- — UX strategy & page architecture
- — Squarespace design & build, up to six pages
- — Custom CSS & JavaScript additions
- — Mobile responsive across all pages
- — Typography, colour & brand application
- — Contact form & basic integrations
- — SEO foundations — titles, meta, image alt tags
- — Two rounds of revisions
- — Launch & domain walkthrough
- — Handoff session — you leave able to manage the site independently
Optional add-on
The Mark.
If you don't yet have a brand, this is where you should start. Includes a brand reference that defines a wordmark, colour palette, and typography. Get in touch for details.
Webflow
The Site.
For businesses that know who they are and need their site built exactly right.
Investment
From $9,500
A focused marketing site starts at $9,500. Builds with richer interactions, larger page counts, or complex CMS requirements are scoped individually. The right number is established before anything begins.
You have a brand. You know your audience. What you need is a website that does the brand justice. You need a website that works as hard as the identity it's expressing and holds up under scrutiny from the moment it launches.
This engagement covers the full arc of web production: content strategy and messaging hierarchy, UX strategy and architecture, UI design across every page and state, and a complete Webflow build through to launch. Each phase informs the next: UX decisions shape the design, design decisions shape the build. This kind of continuity is only possible because all three phases happen with the same person.
Webflow is the platform of choice for The Site because it produces sites with high design fidelity, and you can manage content in the CMS after handoff without needing a developer for routine updates. The platform is capable. When it isn't, custom code fills the gap.
Where custom code comes in
Webflow handles the structure and the CMS. Custom JavaScript and CSS handle everything that goes beyond what Webflow's native tools produce. The two layers work together. Most Webflow designers write one or the other. This practice does both.
- — UX strategy & information architecture
- — Content strategy & messaging hierarchy —what the site says, and in what order
- — UI design in Figma — all pages, all states, fully responsive
- — Webflow build — design-accurate, CMS-integrated
- — Custom CSS & JavaScript to extend the platform
- — Interaction design & motion
- — CMS setup, structure, & content training
- — SEO/AIO — page schema, metadata, and tags
- — Performance optimization & accessibility audit
- — Launch & domain configuration
- — 30-day post-launch support
Beyond the Defaults
When Webflow isn't enough.
Webflow is the right tool for most web engagements, but when a project requires deeper CMS flexibility, complex server-side logic, or a build with no platform dependencies at all, additional options are available. The conversation happens in Discovery, before a scope has been signed.
WordPress
For clients who need a mature ecosystem, extensive plugin flexibility, or a content infrastructure built to scale over many years. Priced and scoped on a per-project basis and typically in line with The Site pricing, depending on complexity.
Fully Custom
Hand-coded front-end or a complete bespoke build with a headless CMS and modern deployment infrastructure. For projects where the brief requires something no platform can produce. Timeline and investment scoped individually.
The Ongoing
A standing relationship.
For clients whose site and brand are living things.
A site doesn't stop needing attention once it's launched. Pages need updating, new work gets added, small compromises accumulate. Most clients handle this through DIY changes that slowly drift from the original intent, or through vendor calls that cost more than they should for work that takes less time than quoted.
Essential.
$1,200 / month
Site maintenance, minor updates, content changes, and priority response. Right for clients who need a safety net more than a creative partner.
Partner.
$3,000 / month
Substantive monthly work — new pages, brand extensions, content strategy, and ongoing strategic availability. For clients whose site and brand are actively growing alongside the business.
Finding the right fit
Which engagement is right for you?
The right service usually becomes obvious within the first conversation. If it doesn't, The Review is the cleanest way to find out.
The Launch.
You run a small business and need a professional site that looks the part and that you can manage yourself. Budget matters, but simplicity after handoff matters more.
The Site.
You have a brand. You need a website built on proper UX strategy, designed with precision, and built in Webflow with custom code where it counts. Your team will manage it after launch.
The Review.
You want an honest, expert read on your web presence before making any decisions about what to build, change, or leave alone. Or something isn't working and you're not sure what. Either way, start here.
Common Questions
Things people usually ask.
There are two reasons. First, Webflow's editor means your team can manage content after handoff without needing a developer, which directly supports the independence principle this practice is built around. Second, Webflow produces excellent design-accurate builds faster than hand-coding from scratch, and the time saved is passed to you in the price. The platform is the starting point, and the addition of custom code keeps it from being the ceiling.
It means that Webflow's native tools are used for layout, CMS, and responsive behavior, and custom CSS and JavaScript are written for everything that requires more: scroll-driven animations, complex interactions, third-party integrations, typographic details, and any design decision the platform can't produce natively. Every Site engagement includes this. It's what separates this practice from a standard Webflow build, and it's the reason the sites look and behave the way they do.
Yes. WordPress is available for projects that need its ecosystem: deep plugin flexibility, a mature content infrastructure, or requirements that Webflow handles less elegantly. Fully custom builds are available when the brief truly requires something no platform can produce. Both are scoped individually. Webflow with custom code handles the vast majority of what clients need, but if Discovery surfaces a reason to go another direction, that conversation happens before anything is agreed.
The Launch is four weeks. The Review is two weeks. The Site runs six to ten weeks depending on scope. The Webflow platform allows a faster build cycle than custom code, and that time saving is factored into the estimate.
Lighter than you'd expect. Focused attention is needed at key decision points. Your input will be needed for the strategy sign-off, the design presentation, and the content review, not throughout the whole engagement. You'll have a clear view of where things stand at all times, and the feedback loops are kept short and specific. No lengthy approval chains, no redesign-by-committee.
Yes, entirely. All client work happens remotely: calls, shared Figma files, Webflow preview links, document reviews. Location has never been a constraint on the quality of the work.
Founders launching something new, and small business owners who want professional web work without the agency overhead. The best engagements tend to be with clients who are serious about what they're building, want to work directly with the person doing it, and understand that the strategic thinking is where most of the value lives.
